We’re thrilled to welcome the extraordinary Tom Shanti to the very first Selkie Soul Festival in Stranraer!
Tom, a former Buddhist monk now based in Shropshire, brings a deep well of wisdom, joy, and musical magic to our gathering. He’ll be leading a Kirtan workshop, offering a beautiful and accessible way to quiet the monkey mind and connect with inner peace through sacred chant. Kirtan is a devotional practice rooted in yogic tradition—open to all, regardless of background or belief.
Festival Highlights with Tom:
Performing at the Selkie Soul Festival Launch Party
Leading a Kirtan session on Sunday’s free festival day
Hosting a stall with his exquisite handmade sound healing instruments, including singing bowls
Tom is a gifted musician and experienced Kirtan leader, known for creating immersive soundscapes with harmonium, guitar, tabla, and other instruments. His sessions invite you to bring your own drum, rattle, or song, or simply come as you are and be carried by the chants into a space beyond words.
Kirtan: The Song of the Soul Non-denominational and deeply resonant, Kirtan is the universal language of Spirit. It invites us to drop into presence, open the heart, and experience the divine through sound.
