What is Fusilates?

Fusilates with Lianne Brown selkie soul festival

In 2013, Lianne, one of the organisers of Selkie Soul Festival created and founded Fusilates — a fusion of Yoga and Qigong — is a gentle yet powerful practice that stretches, strengthens, and harmonises the mind, body, and spirit.

Rooted in these ancient traditions, each session weaves together flowing Qigong sequences, mindful Yogic postures, focused breathwork, and moments of meditative stillness.

Drawing on the grounding and energy cultivation of Qigong and the alignment, awareness, and inner peace of Yoga, Fusilates encourages balance both physically and energetically.

As well as improving strength, flexibility, posture, and mobility, it nurtures mental and emotional wellbeing, easing stress, calming the nervous system, and bringing clarity to the mind. Through gentle energy activation, centering breath, and mindful movement, participants are guided to cultivate and balance their body’s natural life force — the Qi — and awaken a deeper connection to self.

This holistic journey offers a restorative, nurturing experience within a supportive and non-judgemental space, inviting all who wish to move, breathe, and restore harmony from within.
