Selkie Soul Festival was born from a daydream conversation:
“Imagine if we could create a wellbeing festival, bringing together everyone we know from the wellness and spiritual community across the country and beyond, and make it accessible for anyone to come along…”
A year later, that daydream became a reality.
Now entering our second year, Selkie Soul Festival is officially a Community Interest Company, and our purpose remains at the heart of everything we do: to make health, wellbeing practices and education accessible to everyone.
We believe wellbeing shouldn’t feel exclusive or out of reach. We want to create opportunities for people to discover different practices, learn, connect and explore what supports them and in a welcoming safe space where everyone feels they belong.
It’s about building an inclusive and supportive community, bringing people together, opening doors to new experiences and, just as importantly, having plenty of fun along the way
Meet The Team
Lianne Brown is a holistic wellbeing facilitator, Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher, yoga & dance facilitator, professional singer and experienced event organiser, with almost three decades of experience across wellbeing, music, movement and performance.
Her passion for bringing people together through music, healing, creativity and shared experience sits at the heart of everything she does. Alongside her holistic practice and career as an entertainer, Lianne leads Ocean Echoes, an inclusive community vocal group in Stranraer.
Following the success of the inaugural Selkie Soul Festival, Lianne is delighted to be leading the festival into 2027 alongside Vida Belsher and Jenny Ribchester, creating an even bigger celebration of wellbeing, music, creativity and community.
Vida Belsher is a Family Constellations Teacher and Facilitator, who also offers Innderdance Training and Women's Tantra Retreats.
She left the corporate world 12 years ago and moved to Thailand, where her "work" really began. She has travelled extensively, finding new versions of herself along the way, and now the magic of her native Scotland has called her home to stand on this rich dark soil and remember the deep wisdom.
Vida is deeply committed to bringing through The New Story; the dissolution of shame, and the separation dynamic woven throughout our lives. Vida encourages you to step into your individual place in the bigger system. That is her passion and mission, and she is so grateful for the opportunity to do it as part of the Selkie Soul Team
Jenny Ribchester is a Holistic Therapist, Reiki Master and Energy Reader.
She has a dance background in Musical Theatre and Hip Hop, having competed all around the world.
Jenny has a big passion for helping and healing others, and provides unique treatments that infuse different therapies and techniques together. She also hosts various workshops and healing events around the UK and works with different schools.
Originally from Manchester, Jenny moved to Portpatrick 6 years ago and is delighted to bring her love of helping and healing to the SSF Team

Behind every festival is a whole crew of people giving their time, energy, ideas, skills and plenty of heart to make the magic happen. From the big ideas to the tiny details, our Dream Team are the incredible people who keep the Selkie Soul ship sailing - often working away behind the scenes long before the festival shores come into sight!
We simply couldn’t do it without them, and we’re incredibly grateful for every person who jumps aboard and helps make Selkie Soul what it is.
